First Day of School

Well, she did it! She entered the bus and is now back in the public school system. Today we asked her if she was excited and her answer was yes, but also a little scared. Fortunately, we have a little neighbor girl that will be in the same grade as Mia and they are both excited to share bus rides, lunches and recess together. Here are some departure pictures (and yes I cried). I am really going to miss spending the day with her.

Friday FuNsChOoL

During the month of April it is our turn to organize activities for the group. We started with a variety of group challenges and ended the day with a presentation from the JMU breakdance team. Wooo! We had a fabulous time.

Buck + Butter, A Story by Mia Curtis

She received Honorable Mention and will be given a certificate for her achievement!!!
This by far is the coolest project in the world! Mia decided to participate in the Reading Rainbow create a book competition. She really did a fabulous job and we are really excited for her. She was determined to finish and was extremely proud turning in the book today. Click here to see the book.

Weekend in PA

We traveled to Philadelphia this weekend! Friday night was the art show (the Clay Studio is wonderful)

on Saturday we went site seeing

and on Sunday we traveled to Greg and Jackie's house to see their new baby. The kids loved the adventure and they were excellent hikers in the cold temp. The kids loved seeing the liberty bell, swimming, jumping across the beds in the hotel room and falling down on the beds.

In the studio

last week the kids were busy creating scratch art boards. first with crayon then with paint. Myles was a happy participator.
